Wheeled Mobility and Seating (WM&S)
Goals
The Wheeled Mobility and Seating SIG has four working parties each undertaking a project for the next 2 years. The aim is for each working party to develop their area sufficiently to present a paper on the work in progress at the next ARATA conference (2001).

(¹) This working party is aiming to develop some simple measurement tools that provide reliable information on the performance of seating provided to individuals. We are currently reviewing the literature to see what tools exist and how effective they are.
(²) Garrie Wolstenholme is currently liaising with rehabilitation engineering technicians and seating technicians in Australia to gather ideas and interest in education and skill development and formal recognition (certification) of this important group of assistive technology providers.
