The electronic communication devices scheme program - a snapshot of schools in Victoria
Angela Klaniscek & Sophie Moore
During the period that the Electronic Communication Devices Scheme has been available to the school aged population statistics have been collected and recorded to reflect trends. The presentation will cover details of these trends which will include the type and cost of devices recommended, the range of referring agents and the location and age of applicants. These statistics will be illustrated in graph format. A case study of a school aged client will also be presented which covers the client and their team's experience in the issuing process. This will cover all aspects of the process from the initial application to the program for a communication device, to receiving the equipment and training offered by the program. Video footage of the client using the device in everyday situations will be shown in order to illustrate the functional use of the equipment.
