Deaf / Hard of Hearing Web Site
The Internet is full of web pages. Some web sites discuss television shows, hobbies and their life. While other people choose to put together web sites to bring valuable information to others to use to improve their life.
One site I really find very useful is called the Deaf / Hard of Hearing page. It was created by a deaf lawyer with a cochlear implant. His goal was to provide information covering all areas of hearing loss and deafness. The site also has a moderated chat room providing a safe friendly environment for people to discuss issues concerning the hearing impaired and deaf community. This site also has an excellent resource directory filled with very helpful links such as organizations, hearing aides, cochlear implants and sign language. My favorite section is the advocacy and law section. This is where I go when I need to look up information concerning disability laws.
This site is a perfect example of someone advocating to help others be the best in life. Drop in to check out resources and to chat with others about life. The best time to chat is Monday thru Friday at 9pm eastern time.
