Meditation
One activity I do on a daily basis is meditation; this involves connecting the mind to the body through breath. It can be done anytime. I prefer meditating just after I have awaken in the morning.
Sessions vary in time lengths from ten to twenty minutes. I find fifteen minutes works for me.
Begin by finding a nice quiet spot with no distractions. I usually sit on the floor in a cross-legged position but you can also sit in a chair. The first step is to clear your mind and focus on either an object or image. I usually focus on an image of the beach with the clear blue water and warm sand.
After a few minutes of breathing and focusing I repeat several statements to put me in a good state of mind. I repeat "I will be positive, I am happy, and I will love people and life". More importantly I remember my purpose to help and inspire others to succeed in life.
There are many benefits of meditation, like it calms your mind, manages stress and refocuses your life goals. For me meditation puts me in a positive state of mind and reminds me what is important in life.
