Good vision initiative 2007
Undetected vision problems occur in 1 in 4 Australian children. Many try to adapt to their vision problem without knowing they could see better.
To raise awareness and help in the early detection of potential vision problems in children the Optometrists Association of Australia is offering free materials to schools, parents and kids on vision.
The new Kids Vis website has a range of resources tailored to different audiences, including checklists, parents' and teachers' guides, multilingual information, stickers and posters on topics such as:
- how to identify children with vision problems
- how to look after your vision
