Newsletter
e-Bility News was a free electronic newsletter distributed by e-Bility Inclusive IT and in later times sponsored first by OttoBock Australia and then by Flashcab Australia. It kept followers informed on updates to e-Bility's web site, news about disability related issues on the internet, as well as other resources of interest to the disability and health sector.
Launched in October 1999 in the lead up to the Paralymics in Australia, e-Bility News was initially distributed by email as plain text. In 2004 an optional HTML format was also offered. These were published on the website (as well as distributed to subscribers) and are still available in the newsletter archive.
In recent times, the emergence of social media services, such as Twitter, Facebook and blogs, have provided a more immediate, interactive and timely way of sharing news. This seems most appropriate for the future and after consideration it was decided to cease e-Bility News. Our last issue went to press in January 2010.
